Amsterdam Fashion Week - January 25 to 29, 2012

For all the budding fashionistas, social butterflies and just those in desperate need of a style makeover, there is the semi-annual, Amsterdam Fashion Week. Twice a year, Fashion Week becomes the central focus of the Dutch fashion world, with a full schedule of catwalk shows, trade fairs, presentations, lectures and parties. The official Fashion Week events are for industry insiders only, taking place at the former Gas Factories in Amsterdam's Westergas area, however we commoners needn't fret because Fashion Week DOWNTOWN is there to cater to our fashion needs, putting on numerous public catwalk shows, parties, shop launches, lectures, and expositions. All are organised in collaboration with local museums, galleries, clubs and shops. www.aifw.nl
