December 2011 - Competition winners
This month we picked Lindsay Pond as our winner of the December Snap 4 Nap Competition. The photo was taken in Englischer Garten, Munich. Daniel writes - 'Biking through Munich's Englischer Garten last fall, I came upon a garden sharing project where several locals were tending their plots of land. One garden owner had placed snail shells on his fence posts; I'm not sure if this was meant to be decorative or a warning to other snails to stay out of the garden, but either way, I decided to snap a picture of it.'

"I've just come back from 2 month of volunteering in Kenya. I can honestly say it was the most incredible experience! I met some amazing little people who I miss dearly. I'm trying to setup a charity in Australia to help them as they really have nothing but deserve everything!".

"I left my heart in Cologne. Following the lovers' tradition of placing a padlock on the Hohenzollern Bridge and throwing the keys into the Rhine, I added my own lock to the bridge because I'd absolutely fallen in love with Germany. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to end my trip across Germany, and this photo completely captures it".

Karolien writes - 'A 'reflection' on Prague's Old Town Square. End of July it was year market with nice Czech specialities to eat, there were also a lot of orkests playing on the square, making the square crowded with people who wanted to take a glimps of the atmosphere. Prague is a really beautiful city! Worth a visit for sure!!!'.

Took it with my Holga camera doing a double exposure, once with the yellow flash and then another with the blue flash. She looked like Mia from Californication so I wanted a nice picture of her.'.
