You never have to travel far to cross paths with stately parks and buildings or impressive excerpts from the cities past, including the Cutty Sark – England’s last great tea clipper that sailed between England and China in the 19th century. When first launched in 1869, the Cutty Sark was the fastest ship in the water, now dry docked you’re invited to board her and marvel at the maritime memorabilia; including the largest collection of naval figureheads. There’s also Trafalgar tavern, where Charles Dickens’s used to savour a pint, the Maritime Museum, the Naval College, Greenwich Park – London’s oldest Royal Park and a high street fit to be any antique collector’s dream.

Finding Greenwich

Situated in London’s south east corner Greenwich is a short, scenic boat ride up the legendary Thames to Westminster; home to one of the most sacred and symbolic sights in London – the Westminster Abbey. This is also the place to find the Houses of Parliament, and the famously picturesque Big Ben.

Finish the week off in recovery mode with a traditional English roast dinner, including Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings.
