Shepherd's Bush in West London

St. Christopher’s Shepherd’s Bush backpackers accommodation is the perfect answer to affordable beds n’ bars in West London. Nestled between Hammersmith and Notting Hill to the one side and the infamous West End, including Soho, Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown, there’s no better place to explore some of the most exciting neighbourhoods in London. But even closer to home is the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the epitome of live music venues in London.

The Shepherd’s Bush Empire is one of the best live venues London’s entertainment scene has to offer. A 2,000 capacity live venue with full bar, theatre style seating and an open floor for those who want to get up close and personal the particulars of the Empire are trumped only by the calibre of musicians they continually have passing through their doors. With the summer festival season over and done with people are starting to move back indoors and it is the return of the big venues. Always an international array of the best shows to be seen, Octobers line up is no different.

Coming up in October at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire

October 12 – INXS a band that needs no introduction is back with their new lead singer DJ Fortune who needs to prove he’s more than just a replacement.

October 13, 15, 16 – Goo Goo Dolls a tour celebrating 20 years of making music and finally reaching the pinnacle of their career.

October 17 – Xavier Rudd the Australian one-man band is just about one of the most fascinating acts I’ve ever seen. Playing guitars, shakers, didgeridoos, Weissenborn slide guitars, tongue drums, stopm boxes, djembes, harmonica, ankle bells and the slide banjo all at one.

October 20, 21 – Salmonella Dub New Zealand’s own blend of skankin roots reggae, low rolling dub bass lines with drum n bass breaks in a distinctly Pacific style.

October 26 – King Cresote is the solo project of Kenny Anderson. A blue grass/ folksy sound with an astounding 24-records out there.

October 26 – Academy in the UK 2006: 30th Anniversary of Punk headlining are punk icons the Damned along with Sham 69, Angelic Upstarts, Anti Nowhere League, Jayne County & The Electric Chairs, Deadline and Goldblade. A one-night tribute to the legends of punk music, past, present and future.
