From Heathrow Airport

1. Take the Piccadilly line on the London Underground to the Hammersmith stop.
2. Follow the exit for Hammersmith Broadway.
   
3. You will see the hostel directly in front of you so simply cross over the two roads.
   

From Gatwick Airport

1. Take the Train to VICTORIA TRAIN STATION.
2. When you arrive here, head for the West bound District Line of the London Underground and get on a train with Ealing Broadway or Richmond on the front of it. This will take you the seven stops to Hammersmith.

From Stansted Airport

1. Take the Stanstead Express to Liverpool Street train station.
2. The Hammersmith and City underground line goes straight to the hostel so jump on.

From Luton Airport

1. Take the Thameslink Train from Luton Station Direct to LONDON EUSTON TRAIN STATION.
2. When you arrive here jump on the Northern Line of the London Underground and head East, one stop to Kings Cross St. Pancras.
3. Here switch trains and get on the South bound Piccadilly Line which will take you straight to Hammersmith Tube Station.
4. You will see the hostel when you emerge from the Hammersmith Broadway exit.

From London Train Stations

• London trains are tricky but if you do end up at any of the major junctions, here is how you get to us.
  
  
• If you rock up at PADDINGTON STATION, take the pink, Hammersmith and City underground line to Hammersmith and take the Hammersmith Broadway exit.
  
  
• If you arrive into KINGS CROSS ST. PANCRAS take the Piccadilly underground line straight to Hammersmith.
  
  
• LIVERPOOL STREET makes it easy to reach us on the Hammersmith and City underground line.
  
  
• WATERLOO is a bit more tricky for our intrepid travellers. Take the Jubilee underground line to Westminster, stay underground and jump on the District Line. Be sure you get on a west bound train that has Richmond or Ealing Broadway on the front of it. Otherwise you may well end up in the wrong place.
  
  
• VICTORIA STATION is a lot easier. Just jump on the District Line and follow the instructions above – otherwise you might end up in Wimbledon!

From HAMMERSMITH BUS STATION

You can see the hostel from the bus station so just follow your line of sight.

Location in London

When you research Hammersmith you are sure to discover a few, certain famous facts. Hammersmith Broadway houses the European headquarters of Coca Cola and it’s also the home of Disney in the United Kingdom. But now Hammersmith has a new landmark – St Christopher's Inns and Belushi's Bar! 

There's nearly a hundred years of history behind this hostel. It made it through two world-wars, a massive renovation to make it trendy and now it's ready to be your bedroom as you explore the thriving capital of the United Kingdom.

You guys have not one, not two but three tube lines, an over-ground railway station and an amazing new bus station.

A mere five minutes walk or row away there are some very scenic river walks along the Thames and our Hammersmith Hostel is very close to Kensington Park Gardens and Hyde Park.

When you stay with St Christopher's Backpackers Hostel in Hammersmith you can check out the likes of Tori Amos and other internationally renowned acts as they take to the stage at the Hammersmith Apollo. You can also enjoy a good breakfast and explore London the environmentally friendly way by renting a bike from just outside the tube station.

There's already a massive mix of nationalities in Hammersmith so the backpacker vibe is definitely more than welcome.

Travelling to London

Trains to London

1. Megatrain - For low cost intercity train travel in the UK there’s Megatrain, best used when traveling between major cities in England, Wales and Scotland.
2. National Rail - Traveling from smaller town or looking for more frequent travel options National Rail allows booking for various rail operators across the UK.
3. Eurostar - For rail travel from mainland Europe to London riding the Eurostar across the English Channel is the only way to go.

Buses to London

1. National Express - The UK’s premiere passenger coach company. Connecting small towns and big cities throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
2. Megabus - The discount answer to coach travel in the UK, if you’re the planning type – book early and pay only £1.
3. Eurolines - For budget travel from mainland Europe there’s Eurolines with 500 destinations in 25 countries covering the entire European continent and Morrocco.

Flights to London 

Cheap Airlines

If you still haven’t booked your flight into London RyanAir and EasyJet are your best options for inexpensive flight from most European cities. Upon arrival you’ll find yourself at one of London’s 5 different airports that circle the city. Look for the airport you’re flying into and decide if you want to reach central London & St. Christopher’s Inns by bus, train, tube or taxi.

Heathrow Airport

London’s premiere intercontinental airport connecting the UK with the rest of the world. This is the world’s busiest airport. All directions and prices below are to Central London.

1. Tube - Heathrow is the only airport with a direct stop on the London Underground system. With two stops on the Piccadilly Line at Terminals 1, 2 & 3 or Terminal 4 into central London. Takes approximately 60 minutes and costs around £6.
2. Train - The Heathrow Express is the fastest way to London Paddington Station for tube and train connections. For £26 return you can get to where you need to be in only 8-minutes from Terminal 4 or 15-minutes from Terminals 1, 2 & 3. Trains run every 15 minutes.
3. Taxi - Taking a Black Cab into London will run you about £45-£50 with a travel time of one hour.
4. Airport Transfer - We also have an airport transfer service to our hostels in London Bridge (The Village, The Inn and The Orient Espresso) and Shepherd's Bush from Heathrow.
5. Bus - National Express has frequent buses throughout the day with travel times of 45-85 minutes depending on your destination.
6. Bus - Airbus runs a shuttle service between Heathrow and Kings Cross Station running four times an hour between 05:15 – 22:15. Cost is £7 one-way or £10 return.
7. Bus - You can also take the 285 local bus connecting Heathrow to Feltham Rail Station where you can catch a train to London Waterloo Station. Total travel time is 1 hour 40 minutes with a cost of under £5.

Gatwick Airport

Servicing the most routes of any other airport - two terminals, 200 destinations and only one runway. A hectic kind of place to the south of London.

1. Express Train - Gatwick Express is the quickest option from £23.50 return this high-speed train will have you at London Victoria in only 30 minutes.
2. Bus - National Express operate infrequent (but cheap) trips between Gatwick and Victoria Coach Station. Leaving about every hour with a travel time of 90 minutes.
3. Airport Transfer - We also have an airport transfer service to our hostels in London Bridge (The Village, The Inn and The Orient Espresso) and Shepherd's Bush from Gatwick.

Stansted Airport

1. Express Train - The fastest way to reach Liverpool Street tube station is on the Stansted Express. Running about every 15 minutes between 0530 – 0030.
2. Bus - National Express connects Stansted to Victoria Coach Station. The 90 minute journey will cost you £10 one-way or £15 return.

Luton Airport

1. Train - Your only option when flying into Luton are the trains connecting Luton Airport Parkway to King’s Cross St. Pancras station in central London.

London City Airport

1. Bus - There is a shuttle bus leaving from outside the arrivals terminal to Canning Town, Canary Wharf and Liverpool Street tube station. Continue your journey from one of these.
