Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the Eden Project ‐ April 2, 2010
Make your Good Friday a great Friday by attending the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at the Eden Project. The event is an album launch party for The Underbelly (featuring Roxy Ray). The Underbelly is a Cornish five‐piece funk ensemble who have been recognised on BBC 6 as a fantastic new discovery. If you come along you’ll also experience resident DJs from Jelly Jazz who will be bringing the funk to the Eden Project. The tea party begins at 19.00 and lasts until 00.30. Tickets with a drink thrown in cost £ 7 if purchased in advance.
Tunnels Through Time ‐ April 4, 2010
If you enjoy historical exhibits presented in a clever manner or just need something a little bit different to do, then you won’t want to miss Tunnels Through Time. After being closed for the winter, Tunnels Through Time opens its doors on Easter day. Tunnels Through Time displays recreations of Cornwall’s interesting past and shows how people lived long ago in this historical hotspot. Admission for Tunnels Through Time starts at £ 4.40 for adults (aged 16 and older) and there are group deals available too.
Mad Hatter’s Easter Extravaganza at Newquay Zoo ‐ April 4 to 5, 2010
Easter activities are plentiful at the Newquay Zoo. The Mad Hatter’s Easter Extravaganza will feature Alice in Wonderland characters, Easter egg croquet, the Maddest Hat contest and children’s craft activities. There will also be games with prizes and a plastic duck race. In addition to all this, there will be Easter‐themed feed for the real animals. A White‐Rabbit trail will remain here until April 18, 2010 ‐ for those who wish to find Cheshire Cats beyond Easter weekend.
Zapcat Racing Grand Prix at Fistral Beach ‐ April 23 to 25, 2010
Zapcat boats are not an unfamiliar sight at Fistral Beach, neither are Zapcat races. On the weekend of April 23 the Zapcats will amaze you with their ability to speed through the choppiest of waters and launch off of waves. These are professional competitions and the participants will be earning points towards the National Championships. On Friday, April 23 there will be ample opportunity to watch the practice sessions and between April 24 and 25 there will be more than 35 powerboat races to enjoy. The event is entirely free to spectators and will include other fun activities too.
