Trevornick 10-Mile Race at Cubert - May 8, 2011
If you can’t quite handle the concept of running 10-miles and would like to be a spectator, then come down to the Trevornick Holiday Park. Here you can cheer on and support the Newquay Road Runners as they race in this year’s competition. The Newquay Road Runners will begin running at 11.30 and the race path will cut through the coastal vistas of Trevornick, Cubert Common, the West Pentire Headland and Polly Joke. Parking is available at Trevornick Holiday Park.
Zapcat Racing Championship Weekend - May 7 to 8, 2011
Head on over to Fistral Beach for an extravaganza of Zapcat-racing action! Rounds one and two will take place during this weekend so come along and take in the wave-carving abilities of these exceptional catamarans. These twin-hulled boats ride waves like a skateboarder launching from a half pipe. Over the two days there will be over 35 races, so make the most of it.
Big Eden Gig - Music Thru the Decades
In support of Cornish Breast Cancer Charities, the Eden Project is hosting Music Thru the Decades - an event showcasing some of Cornwall’s biggest bands. For a mere £20, you will have the opportunity to experience seven different bands back-to-back. Expect bands like The Mighty Offbeats, the Mowtown Pirates, Gallowglass and more. Remember all the proceeds go to a Cornish charity so get down with your bad self at the Eden Project!
