Cornwall Film Festival - November 4 to 6, 2011

Cinéastes and film lovers are welcomed to take part in the 2011 Cornwall Film Festival. 2011 marks Cornwall’s tenth annual film festival and it’s to be hosted by Lighthouse Cinema. With four screens in use, this year’s festival is bigger and better than ever! Come along and take part in all categories of film that celebrate Cornish culture and heritage. The festival kicks off at 18.45 and you may purchase tickets at the door or beforehand on the Cornwall Film Festival website.

City of Lights in Truro - November 16, 2011

Just a short jog from Newquay is the Cornish town of Truro, which is again having hosting the City of Lights Festival. This is Truro’s way of ushering in the Christmas season and on Wednesday, November 16, Truro will host a light-filled extravaganza to warm your soul on a chilly night. If this appeals to you, you’ll find Truro just 24-kilometres due south of Newquay.

Happy Christmas, Shirley at the Lane Theatre - November 23, 26, and 30, 2011

Although it is only November, it’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas. Newquay’s Lane Theatre is serving up Happy Christmas, Shirley as their final play of the 2011 season. This holiday-themed production is the brainchild of playwright Louise Roche and is directed by local director, Susie Bundy.
