Hostel & Bar News
Come and join in the fun at Europe’s biggest street party. Every year over a million people flock to the streets of Notting Hill to gaze at the floats, wiggle to the scores of massive sound systems and soak up the true flavours of the Caribbean. Sunday is traditionally Children’s Day with the party really taking off on the Monday.
All five disciplines of carnival; Mas (costume), Steel band, Calypso, Soca and Static Sound Systems, are celebrated in this two day musical extravaganza. Check out the excellent Sancho Panza and Good Times sound systems or buy a map and scour it to catch some big names playing for free! Carnival sets London on fire in a multi-cultural blaze of Caribbean spirit.
And St Christopher's Shepherd's Bush provides the perfect base to revel in this great occasion. With Belushi's open each night until 12am offering some great deals on drinks and food plus our special offer of 3 nights from £45 you would be foolish not to BOOK YOUR BED now !

HOPE was founded in 1994, the Year of the Family, to assist Handicapped, orphaned, poor and exploited children. Working mostly with volunteers, we ensure that your donations go directly to help needy children. We now assist projects in over 20 countries including the UK and pride ourselves on their personal nature, targeting our help to individuals and small groups of people. Interpub and HOPE have joined together as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations to raise funds for street children and those affected by conflict.
It is our aim, with your help to raise £20,000 for this worthy charity. So please give generously. Collection boxes can be found in all of our venues. Also keep an eye out for special fund raising events throughout the year.
Enjoy the sun! Catch you again soon.
Happy Travels!
