HELP THE PIGS !!!
Travelling from the UK to Oz, two British backpackers decided to carry 17 pig puppets with them, and give them away to fellow travellers in different countries, with two conditions: take pictures of the travelling puppet, and give it to another traveller, and so on. A community was born, with its own web site relating news from each of the pigs.
A few updates from the battlefront: Livingston, one of the 17 lucky pink piggies, probably is the most travel-addicted pig on this planet: it has been all around South America, in Japan, and all across the United States. Now, Livingston is in Europe: it was spotted in Amsterdam, in the hands of “Andrea”, 10 days ago (probably on its way to Oktoberfest in Munich).
From what the web site says, Kingsley is now in Ireland, Darwin in Japan, Cabot in France, while Shackleton is reported “Missing in Action”, and was last seen in Koh Phan Ngan, Thailand (probably another full moon party victim).
However, a big pandemia seems to be threatening the puppets: many of them have not bothered sending a single picture of them since monthes. Help the pig! You are probably still travelling around the world, so keep your eyes open and look for the pigs.

Rugby World Cup!!!
In Australia this year, but Britain is THE place to watch it from! Wake up early and head to the nearest pub to enjoy the unique atmosphere. Our Belushi’s bars, spread over the UK will of course be open early.

Snowboard Season starts in Italy
Val Senales hosts the earliest snowboard event of the season, on its huge glacier snow park, with contests, coaching and afters. The 2003 season began on October 4th.

Touring Europe
Blur, Ben Harper, Christina Aguilera, Placebo and David Bowie are among the most famous artists touring Europe this month. Check their web sites for details, dates and locations of the concerts.
HOPE was founded in 1994, the Year of the Family, to assist Handicapped, orphaned, poor and exploited children. Working mostly with volunteers, we ensure that your donations go directly to help needy children. We now assist projects in over 20 countries including the UK and pride ourselves on their personal nature, targeting our help to individuals and small groups of people. Interpub and HOPE have joined together as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations to raise funds for street children and those affected by conflict.
It is our aim, with your help to raise £20,000 for this worthy charity. So please give generously. Collection boxes can be found in all of our venues. Also keep an eye out for special fund raising events throughout the year.
