£5 A Night in Bath or Newquay!!
We had to stop our £1 a bed offer in Bath and Newquay because it was too successful… Imagine backpackers crowds in Newquay in February ...However, we decided to build up a special £5 a bed offer in Bath and Newquay for March. Bath is a great roman city with a lively student atmosphere and lots of monuments and pubs to check. Newquay is “THE” surfers Mecca in the UK, only a short distance from Eden Project (see below). This is a limited offer and it might be subject to changes. See our web site for details.

Also playing at the Carling Academy in Brixton London are the famous French group Air. They are here to promote their new album Talkie Walkie on Saturday the 13th of March. Air is often associated with other French DJ’s like Daft Punk and St Germain but more with a chilled out style. While at the Shepherd's Bush Empire catch the rising young Jazz musician Jamie Callum and later this month The Stranglers! For complete listings visitThe Carling Brixton Academy Web site and the Shepherd's Bush Empire site.
This month starting up again in London theatres is the famous play Stomp. A show you can definitely not miss. This loud and energetic show is made up of people making the most eccentric tunes in the most creative way from using buckets, bins and brooms to using match sticks and spoons.
What ever you do this March, make a point of coming to this year's London Drinker Beer & Cider Festival for there will be a mood of celebrations with the Festival celebrating its 20th birthday.
There will around 50 different real ales including many from small micro breweries that did not exist when the Festival was founded as well as some from the 200 brewers that were brewing in 1985. Compare that situation to the thousands of different beers brewed now and you will see CAMRA's success in encouraging new breweries.
But it is not only good British Beer where the choice has improved. The Festival's imported beer bar will have the usual Belgian, Dutch and German regulars, such as Gueuze, Lambic, Witbier, honey, fruit, spiced and smoked beers plus dark lagers and Bockbiers. But it will also have beers from the Rogue Brewery, Oregon, USA and some unusual Lithuanian beers plus (hopefully) the Czech Bud, the strong beer from Budweiser Budvar currently only available in the off trade.
This festival is to be found in Camden Centre, get off at Kings Cross station. There will be live music played by Tuxedo Clad Jazz Band.
HOPE was founded in 1994, the Year of the Family, to assist Handicapped, orphaned, poor and exploited children. Working mostly with volunteers, we ensure that your donations go directly to help needy children. We now assist projects in over 20 countries including the UK and pride ourselves on their personal nature, targeting our help to individuals and small groups of people. Interpub and HOPE have joined together as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations to raise funds for street children and those affected by conflict.
It is our aim, with your help to raise £20,000 for this worthy charity. So please give generously. Collection boxes can be found in all of our venues. Also keep an eye out for special fund raising events throughout the year.
