London

London Raindance film festival
1st – 11th October

Opened at the UGC cinemas in central London the Raindance film festival is there for all the devoted film makers, film maker one – a – be’s and film freaks alike. At the festival you will see many new short and long films created by new young talent. If you’re looking to break into the industry yourself learn many tips and tricks at the seminars and workshops covering everything from cinematography to marketing and distribution. The festival is for 11 days, so if you’re in London on a rainy October day it’s worth the visit and see something non-mainstream and very much non-Hollywood as there will be a very international theme.

The International Halloween Festival
16th – 17th October

Now we all know that Halloween is on the 31st of October, but in the olden days when the Pagans use to run the Halloween industry it was actually celebrated on the 16th and 17th of October according to their calendar. This year the new age pagans will be celebrating it in Mile End in East London. Folk- and rock music, witchcraft workshops and freaky tribal rituals are all part of this weird yet interesting festival.

Maybe the dark and earthy arts or druids and magic aren’t really your thing. Maybe vampires and zombies or mummy’s and Frankenstein’s sound more familiar to you. If the latter is the case then you must quickly find yourself a crazy outfit and come to one of our many venues on the 31st of October for one of our infamous wacky St. Christopher’s Halloween parties. The venues throwing a Party this year will Belushi’s Borough High Street, Belushi’s Shepherd’s Bush, Belushi’s Covent Garden, St. Christopher’s Borough High Street, Edinburgh for a super heroes and villains theme night to raise money for charity or go to our venue The Stag in Burnham Beeches for the Rocky Horror Picture Show party. Keep updated pn Belushis.com

Edinburgh

Scissor Sisters
24th October

The world famous Scissor Sisters are doing a tour of UK and will be passing through for one night in Edinburgh on the 24th of October. And guess what!!! It hasn't’t sold out yet. So get on the phone with St Christopher’s Inn to book yourself a nights accommodation. After you got your accommodation sorted get your ass down to the box office to get your tickets for this great performance. For those of you not yet familiar with The Scissor Sisters they are a group that broke through about a year ago with a cover song of the renowned Pink Floyd track comfortably numb.

Brighton

The Brighton Comedy Festival
8th – 23rd October

For the third year running is the Brighton comedy festival. Many different venues all over Brighton will host comedy shows starring some of the older more famous comedians but also upcoming new blood. The biggest night will be the Perrier award show bringing together talent from all over the globe. So if your feeling down and need a laugh and a good night out then come down to Brighton this October. There will be comedy to suit everybody’s funny flavour.

Hope for Children

St Christopher's Inns and Belushi's proud to be an official sponsors of HOPE.

HOPE was founded in 1994, the Year of the Family, to assist Handicapped, orphaned, poor and exploited children. Working mostly with volunteers, we ensure that your donations go directly to help needy children. We now assist projects in over 20 countries including the UK and pride ourselves on their personal nature, targeting our help to individuals and small groups of people. Interpub and HOPE have joined together as part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations to raise funds for street children and those affected by conflict.

Hope for Children

It is our aim, with your help to raise £20,000 for this worthy charity. So please give generously. Collection boxes can be found in all of our venues. Also keep an eye out for special fund raising events throughout the year.

A blast from the past!

"Its been a few years but I'm one of the original 'Belushi's team in covent garden from the early 90's. I started when Bod was manager and Lou and Stabby and all the gang, we were the ones to poster the wall and Clancy and I built the side wall tables that folded down when not needed and painted '69 on the roof..... They were the days and we put the 'Belushi's' experience on the must do things when in london."
- Tyler Harris

We love stuff like this, so if you wish to get in contact or just want to drop us a line to say "Hi" please do!

Thanks for reading and happy travels!
