Every week Emanuel attracts new players from as far a field as Canada, South Africa & Australia to as close as New Malden & Clapham; some who have just moved to the area and are looking to play social rugby; some who are local students looking to start playing at a good amateur club and some who want to play fast, attractive rugby in London. If you are keen to play, support or just have a pint with us, we would love to hear from you!
We currently field three teams. The 1st XV plays in Surrey 1, and 2nds & 3rds are in Surrey Merit Tables. We train on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7.30pm, have superb facilities - 3 pitches and a large clubhouse, a subsidised bar, large screen TV with Sky, food after training, physio room, gym, squash courts… Emanuel Rugby is situated between Wimbledon & Kingston near Raynes Park Railway Station, just off the A3, by the Golf Range at Shannon Corner New Malden (15 mins from Waterloo)
We're just as committed to having as much fun off the field as on it, which may be the secret to Emanuel’s appeal! The club holds many ‘socials’ to provide a friendly atmosphere all year round. Touring to places such as Poland and Canada is also an essential part of our team-building as well as hosting members' luncheons etc.
Fully employed, established players pay £20 per month subscriptions, which includes insurance, meals after games, FREE Polo shirts and physio and assists in running the club. There are discounts for students, those unemployed, 1st year working etc.
