BERLIN
Berlin is always a great place to be but this February it gets even better when the Berlin Film Festival comes to town. The festival is the largest in Europe after Cannes and will run from the 8th until the 18th.
Highlights of Berlinale 2007 will include a screening of Guy Maddin’s Brand Upon the Brain, which boasts an orchestra, live foley artists and Isabella Rossellini guiding the audience as the narrator.
A host of venues promise to map out the artistic and cinematic flair of the city, making it the perfect place for travellers staying at St Christopher’s to get a true taste of this international capital.
Exhibitions not to be missed include Interior Expansion, which showcases new work by well-known artists and debut pieces. The exhibition includes work by Isabell Spengler, Karoe Goldt and Christoph Girardet.
Between screenings St Christopher’s offer a pub quiz from 8pm on Tuesday nights, an open mic night on Thursdays from 8pm, nightly drink specials and live music beginning in the middle of February.
