Newsletter - March 2007
Live your Life Newsletter
Editors note:
Welcome to March and your new, retrofitted newsletter. I spent my first month talking to travellers in the hostels on Borough High Street and I found out what you really want to read about.
With that in mind I have some top tips on saving money and surviving London, a new travel book, an interview with an inspirational writer and a completely comprehensive Beds and Bars guide to what you can do in the St Christopher’s cities.
The Top Five Reads were very popular in February and consequently you’re going to get more of what’s good for you. Every month your newsletter will bring you five fresh read, including the best up and coming travel literature and reviews of what real life travellers are reading.
I want to hear more from you and so do other travellers at St Christopher’s. In February I met Mitch from Melbourne - he wanted to know where an Aussie like him could buy a Sim card for Britain. In true backpacker style I’m throwing the floor open to you guys. Where are the best deals? Do you want to pass your card on? I want more questions and answers so I can give you the most relevant, interactive and best backpacker resource on the net.
On a final note I want to wish our Greenwich manager, Gen Knowles, a belated happy birthday and thank Alice de Sousa for giving me the opportunity to see the superb 'Thankfully There is Moonlight' at Greenwich Playhouse. A big shout out also goes to the Spanish guys who braved a night at Belushi’s wearing nothing but swim shorts and life vests. We like your gumption for putting it on You Tube! - Rob Savage
