January
Welcome to the St Christophers E-zine
Editor's Note - January 2008
January is a month of monumental change in the sphere of St Christopher's. Fresh from the success of the Village winning London Hostel of the Year 2007, we've set our sites on Europe - specifically on Paris and Amsterdam! This month will mark the opening of our brand new, £10 million, 300 bed, purpose built hostel in Paris. There's been a good deal of blood, sweat and tears in bringing this backpacking baby to fruition but it's finally here and in honour of this, there's a special E-zine slot to mark the occasion.
Over in Holland we decided to take our friendship with the Flying Pig Hostel chain to the next level and duly joined forces to bring you even more choice in the delightful city of sin.
Back in London yours truly will be embarking on an exciting, bi-weekly adventure as the Travel Columnist for Welcome Stranger Magazine. This is a fantastic re-branding of the infamous In London guide and I can't wait to get stuck in with some practical, to the point travel tips.
Further more - me and the travel writing team have been mindful not to neglect our loyal backpacking fan base and we've been hard at work, compiling the biggest and best E-zine yet. Highlights this month include a free extract from Lonely Planet Morroco, Kathleen's New Year in Amsterdam, Kristin's break down of January in Berlin and Kalon's guide to the London Short Film Festival. Now take a breath and read on.
