August E-Zine
Welcome to the St Christophers E-zine
Editor's Note - August 2008
This month the E-zine is brimming with succulent event guides and the best festival previews in Europe. As the Edinburgh Fringe Festival rolls into town Kristin Buzzelli is one step ahead with her travel writing itinerary and in Paris, Jessie Heckman is all over the Rock en Seine. Kalon Huett tackles all that is cool and coming up in London during August and Johnny Lee makes his E-zine debut as the Amsterdam, event hunting columnist.
I've been casting my travel tip - trapping net further afield for this month's top ten, which saves you a huge chunk of time and money by narrowing down the things you have to see and do across Europe! This month Beauty Terrorist is taking on the might of summer with some mighty fine sun screening tips, the August book extract offers career advice for the aimless graduate wanderer and the top five reads on the road are more diverse than ever.
I dedicated this month's Interview Time to the Chief Exec of Visit Britain Tom Wright. He served up some top backpacker attractions and a little insight into what the 2012 Olympics will mean for London, and the UK at large. In our health supplement Backpacker Bites, David Haw has put together a gym free work out to give you the perfect pecs and over in Ethical Travel, Jen Page is inciting an intellectual work out with a no holds barred look at China's animal rights record. I'll join you again, in the good company of the travel writing team, when we all hit the almost autumnal month of September.
