November E-Zine
Welcome to the St Christophers E-zine
Editor's Note - November 2008
I'd like to dedicate my Editor's Note this month to my tireless team of travel writers who make this monthly travel E-zine possible. Their city event guides and specialist subjects just keep getting better and better and in honour of that here are a few teasers.
Covering Berlin and Edinburgh, Kristin Kendle explores Grossbeerenkeller and Halloween at Camera Obscura, for Paris and Newquay Jessie Heckman sinks her teeth into Festival des Inrocks and the Eden Project, and for Amsterdam and Brighton Johnny gets to grips with the International Documentary Film Festival and The Mighty Boosh.
Back in the good old UK Kalon Huett looks into the Christmas celebrities set to light up the capital this year, Jen Page reflects on Blog Action Day with an Ethical Travel piece on poverty, Music Mashup gets a make over from Matt Beal and Catherine Fish, and our November travel writing award goes to a very promising new word smith James Garrett.
Aside from having lots of literary fun with these wonderful Indie travellers, I've also been hammering out the articles with a Top Ten feature on the best travel tunes, a Beauty Terrorist expose on how to afford Christmas in a credit crunch, the Top Five Travel Books around in November, the best theatre coming to London and an exploration of the Latvian capital Riga!
On top of all that there's a nice big juicy chunk of the Lonely Planet's USA travel guide brought to you absolutely free of charge, but as for November - that's all folks. Me and the team will see you in the festive month of December.
