June E-Zine
Welcome to the St Christophers E-zine
Editor's Note - June 2009
As the summer heat waves finally start to sweep through Europe and more of you guys trot off across the globe than ever before, its time to check out whats occurring at each and every hot spot the backpacker map.
The city specific guides this month cover the International Film Festival in Edinburgh, the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin, the Vondelpark Open Air Theatre in Amsterdam, the Bruges Triathlon, Katy Perry kissing girls in Brighton, Gay Pride in Paris and The Killers rocking out in London, among many other things!
You guys can also read about the real and rather miniscule risks of Swine Flu on the road as the Top Five Travel tips section blows the media hype out of the water, and shows you how to keep healthy without so much as batting an eye lid.
This month Ethical travel tackles UNESCO, for a little healthy living - Backpacker Bites deals with drinking water abroad, the Top Five Travel Books serve up the best intellectual work out away from home and our June interview slot is filled by none other than Australian Idol sensation, Shannon Noll.
Better yet Lonely Planet have very kindly handed over a free chunk of their Sardinia Guide for the June Travel Book Extract, Beauty Terrorist offers advice on how to deal with all that sun screen oil and sweat this summer, and the travel writing, trivia and photography competitions are doling out free accommodation to the most talented travellers in the crowd. See you for more of the good stuff in July.
