November E-Zine

Welcome to the St Christopher's E-zine

Editor's Note - November 2009

When the winter hits in Iceland the daily sunshine quota takes a battering to the degree where alcoholism soars and boredom abounds. Fortunately in the Greenwich Meridian Line led time zones of Europe, things aren’t quite so dreary and there are fun times aplenty to be had. Brighton is a fitting place to start, bearing in mind that it’s staffed by folk who walk, talk and look like Londoners, but actually greet you with a smile and appear to be genuinely happy. You can witness said Prozac-esque behaviour for your fine selves in our brand spanking new video guide to the city and you can even top it up with a little old school, written guide in our equally new, Brighton events forecast.

Over in Berlin it’s twenty years on from the fall of the wall on November 9 – a date set to be celebrated with the Festival of Freedom, the British cities are sending fire into the sky to celebrate Mr Guy Fawkes’ attempt to blow up Parliament back in 1605 and over in Amsterdam, Saint Sinterklaas is coming to town – even though it’s only November. This just leaves the top ten - top ten tips - for the top ten cities of Europe, the best reads on the road in November’s top five books, the female backpacker’s best Christmas present suggesting friend – Beauty Terrorist and the usual array of competitions, bursting with free accommodation for the bravest wannabe travel writers, photographers, and trivia experts. Until Christmas.
