January E-Zine
Welcome to the St Christophers E-zine
Editor's Note - January 2010
2009 was one hell of a year and in what’s become something of a tradition here at St Christopher’s Inns, the first travel e-zine of the New Year is dedicated to the best bits of the last one. Without delving into retrospective nostalgic depths that make you want to reach for the Prozac, this edition is jam packed with every fond, travel tip memory of 2009.
In the top ten I’ve selected the best bits of the guide to President Barack Obama, how to travel for less, the backpacker’s guide to getting the most out of Twitter, the most unusual of urban legends and much more. In other news, the female backpacker’s best friend - Beauty Terrorist, keeps you slim with super foods, tackles damaged hair, cures dried out winter skin and saves you a bucket load of money when it comes to staying pretty on the road.
There’s also a round up of the best books from 2009 in the top five reads on the road, the best bits from personal trainer David Haw’s Backpacker Bites column and the defining tunes of 2009, in the Music Mashup megamix. Throw in the contemporary city event guides for January in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Bruges, Berlin, Edinburgh, Newquay and Brighton, and you’ve got the perfect antidote for procrastination in January and New Year self improvements. Until February I wish you a very happy and healthy 2010.
