Belushi's Box

First up I would like to congratulate Paul Consterdine on winning our first ever Rock Paper Scissors Belushi’s Champion competition. Great fun was had by all at the finalist round over a weekend in our Paris hostel and many have called for a repeat event next year! We had great numbers of people signing up and the whole event really helped to kick off the fundraising for our partner charity - Just A Drop.

Just a drop charity

Just a Drop work to reduce child mortality in developing countries - caused by polluted water and diseases such as dysentery, cholera and diarrhoea. Currently over 1.4 million children die every year because of water-related diseases, so we’re proud to be a part of this incredibly worthwhile cause. Check out www.justadrop.org for a more in-depth look at the great work they do there and look out for more Belushi’s events supporting this great charity in the summer of 2010! We’re lining up charity football matches in Brighton, band nights in Camden and fancy dress parties in Hammersmith, so keep your eyes peeled.

The World Cup

With the World Cup well underway and nations glued to their TV screens, we’ve been enjoying the atmosphere in the bars the great international crowd - cheering on the teams. As we say goodbye to some teams (ahem…), we hope you’ll be back for the next round. Don’t forget to try our Bunny Chow special – a delicious South African delicacy of hollowed out bread baskets, filled with your choice of curry. Our Chip Roti’s are going down a storm too!

Cocktails by the Coast and More

In other exciting news this month we’ve refreshed our cocktail menu just in time for the summer. Our team from Newquay and Brighton have been working away to test drive the new look menu. Sample sessions so far have included icy Mojitos, Chocolate Martinis and more! Every single one is delicious and many are available in a three pint pitcher or a five pint Goldfish Bowl – great for sharing with your friends!

With the bars now open at 07.00 for breakfast, we’ll also be serving a fantastic selection of Seattle’s Best Coffee and with the weather seemingly staying hot (fingers crossed) this is the perfect time to try our new selection of iced coffees and teas - if cocktails aren’t your thing! Look out for everything from the iced Caramel Macchiatos to the Iced Chai Tea Lattes. Yum!
