Belushi's Box

On Sunday May 2, 2010 the very first Belushi’s Rock Paper Scissors Championship took place in all of our UK Belushi’s bars. The competition was fierce (especially in Newquay where the guys decided to go for the full contact rules) and contestants from all over battled it out for their chance to go to Paris for the final ‐ courtesy of Kronenbourg 1664. We now have 11 winners who’ll continue on for their chance to win £1000 and the almighty title of the Belushi’s Rock Paper Scissors Champion! Even if you didn’t win a place, why not go along and support your local winner on June 12, 2010 ‐ with great value accommodation available at St Christopher’s?!
As for this months events, we continue to embrace the 3D revolution at Belushi’s in Edinburgh and Bath with the following games being shown this May!
- May 5, 2010: Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspurs
- May 9, 2010: Final day of Barclays Premier League
- May 16, 2010: Guinness Rugby Premiership Semi’Final
- May 22, 2010: Champions League Final
- May 29, 2010: Guinness Rugby Premiership Final
- May 30, 2010: England v Barbarians Rugby Union
But don’t worry if you’re London, Brighton or Newquay based. You can still catch all these games and more on our many plasma screens (in regular 2D), and with great drinks promotions and food specials, plus an incredible atmosphere, there really is no other place to watch sport this Spring! We’re especially excited to see the outcome of the Champions League and the FA cup final, making way for the Cricket ‐ starting next month.
Of course the real question on everybody’s lips this month is ‐ who’ll be running the United Kingdom as of the May 6? Well at Belushi’s we’ll be showing the action as it happens with a live rolling feed from both the BBC and Sky News channels. Well ‐ why not dwell upon the future of Britain whilst enjoying a gourmet burger?
On May 12, 2010 it’s International Nurses Day and so this is the perfect chance for us to reiterate that all NHS staff receive a 10% discount at our bars on presentation of their ID card, and if you’re a student you can also enjoy a 10% discount at all our bars to help you stretch those pennies further.
If you fancy trying something a little different to fight those mid week blues – Jager Wednesdays at the Fulham Belushi’s branch may be just the ticket with £1.50 Jagerbombs and £1 Jager shots all night and an eclectic choice of tunes until late.
Meanwhile London Bridge Belushi’s have just revamped their Wednesdays with a brand new student night ‐ Spring Break. Come along and enjoy some incredible drink promotions including £1 vodka mixers and 2‐4‐1 on selected bottles. Admission is just £3 for students or £5 for non‐concessions.
If your mid’week blues have turned into week‐long blues then we provide several options to help you take a much needed break. As we move into Spring and the sun starts to shine, why not relax with the best view in Newquay, barbeques every night put on by the great staff down there, live music and even a surfing lesson from our adjoining surf school? It really is the perfect excuse to get away for a few days, catch some sun and relax with some like minded people as you as you welcome the summer.
At finally we’re buzzing here at Belushi’s head office and we’re happy to announce the opening of our brand new hostel and the biggest Belushi’s yet ‐ opening in Prague in June 2010 ‐ just in time for the World Cup! This is the place to come for news on their weekly events and promotions! Until then...
