October E-Zine
Welcome to the St Christophers E-zine
Editor's Note - October 2010
Dreary winter weather be damned. October’s all about the fun times - ripe for the picking on the European travel circuit. First up there’s a little Autumnal romance on the cards with the Top Ten Cheesiest Pick Up Lines of all time because you are after all: “90% water and I sure am thirsty...”
Cringe worthy chat up lines aside, the city event forecasts are stronger than ever this month with Biffy Clyro playing in Prague, the Festival of Lights in Berlin, the Amsterdam Dance Event, the Brighton Comedy Festival, Salon du Chocolat in Paris and much more! This e-zine edition also sees Nathan Birdsall join the travel writing crew as the London Columnist with a round up of Mark Ronson, Badly Drawn Boy and then some.
That leaves me just enough space to echo the sentiments of the European Tour Operators Association in their response to the heightened alert levels in the UK, France and Germany. Travel is about broadening you mind and understanding other cultures by experiencing them. If terrorists scare you away from doing this then it only serves to breed ignorance and dampen your aspirations for exploration, so show the terror spreaders the finger, keep calm and carry on. Until November.
