Editor's Note - March 2011
Spring is most certainly in the air in March and with plans for the Royal Wedding in London almost done and dusted, the UK is a buzz with talk of Kate and Wills. There's also a hum around the events kicking off in the UK in March, with the surf in Newquay coming into its own, Simon Cowell's talent competition the X Factor arriving in Brighton, the Decemberists performing at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, and much more!
In other news the One World Film Festival is arriving in Prague and over in Paris, this month is all about the Banlieues Bleues Jazz and Blues festival, not to mention the Top Ten Travel Tips, which is dedicated to a year long, annual events forecast for the French capital. You'll find all of your favourite, regular writers in this e-zine too with Matt the Mouth sounding off about what it takes to get out of your home town and Jackie Reddy exploring the sticky subject of International Development, in her Ethical Travel blog.
My personal pick this month is the free travel book extract, taken from Sarah Outen's A Dip in the Ocean. This astounding tale charts her journey, rowing 4000 miles across the Indian Ocean, in memory of her father. A real inspiration.
