Prison: No Limits for Art - until January 12, 2012

The Center for Contemporary Art - DOX, brings you this unique project, linking together two rather disparate worlds. Over six-months approximately 30 prisoners, each working in tandem with an artist, created several dozen, original artworks including paintings, graffiti and comic strips. The artists and prisoners would communicate through letters and the visists by the artists, to several Czech prisons. If you'd like to see what came out of it, head to DOX before January 12, 2012. Entrance is 180 CZK or 90 CZK for students.

You can expect a truly special experience if you happen to be at Palac Akropolis on January 26. The Norweigan trio Hurra Torpedo returns to Prague with their unique musical performance. They play songs using kitchen appliances alongside more traditional instruments. As a bonus, they are usually dressed in jogging suits. Their repertoire includes the classics Total Eclipse of the Heart and Toxic, along with their own compositions. What's not to love? Tickets are 395 CZK and available through Ticketpro.

Thus Spoke LaChapelle - Until February 26, 2012

Rudolfinum Gallery presents this unique exhibition unlike any other David LaChapelle show to date. The photographer's rarely shown early works will be included for the first time in an exhibition. Still the emphasis is largely on the work created in recent years, when he retired from fashion and magazine commissions in order to return to independent, and more artistic photography. Entrance is 130 CZK or 80 CZK for students.
