The Night of the AdEaters - February 2, 2012

How does 19,477 seconds of commercials sound to you? Created and produced since 1981 by Jean Marie Boursicot, The Night of the AdEaters is a show dedicated to screening the production of advertising on the big screen. It first started in France and quickly became popular around the world. This year, it will visit more than 100 countries including Tokyo, Moscow, Mexico City and Hong Kong. The Prague show will be held at the popular club Roxy on Thursday February 2 and will be followed by an all night music party. Tickets are 490 CZK at the door.

Lamb - February 4, 2012

The British electronic duo Lamb bring their fifth album to Prague. Apart from the most obvious trip hop, their musical style is a distinctive mixture of Jazz, Dub, breaks and Drum and Bass, with a strong vocal element, and more recently some acoustic influences. They will play at Kulturni Centrum Vltavska and you can get your tickets through Ticketpro for 780 CZK.

Bohemian Carnevale - February 10 to 21, 2012

Bohemian Carnevale is an annual celebration with old Czech traditions and allegorical festivities, whose beginnings dates back to medieval times. Project Bohemian Carnevale is a rebirth of this phenomenon celebrating human joy. One of the stages and an info centre will be in the Old Town Square. The main stage is at the Glam-Gallas Palace on Husova street in the Old Town. More information about the programme and tickets can be found online. www.carnevale.cz

Batman Live - February 17 to 19, 2012

If you always wanted to see a superhero in action, here's your chance. You can see Batman in a live arena adventure that premiered in the UK, in the summer of 2011. Based on an original story created exclusively for the show, Batman Live is a theatrical extravaganza of stunts, acrobatic acts and illusions. You will witness Batman and Robin battle The Joker and other super-villains such as The Riddler, Catwoman, The Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, who are set on destroying Gotham City. The show will take place at O2 Arena, tickets start at 700 CZK and are available through Sazka terminals.

The Sounds - February 22, 2012

The Swedish indie rockers The Sounds have been compared to the likes of Blondie or The Cars. If you feel like a midweek party, be at the Lucerna Music Bar on Wednesday February 22 and wear your studded leather jacket. Tickets are 450 CZK and available through Ticketpro.
