My stay was riddled with problems. The first night they double booked my bed and I was woken up in the middle of the night by another very confused traveler and had a horrible nights sleep. When I talked to them the next day the desk said someone had moved me to a different room after I checked in and that is why they told two of us we were in the same bed. They didn't offer any solution other than to fix it in the computer and a free breakfast for the next day. The girl was nice though. Then the next day the bathroom was completely flooded from a sink being left on so I couldn't use that bathroom since the floor was soaked. Then the following afternoon I came back to a soaked bed. The woman above me had spilled something all over my bed and floor and it got into my lock box under the bed making my clothes all wet. When I told the girl at the desk about it she was at first not very helpful, but then came around and moved me to a slightly better room and gave me another free breakfast and dried my clothes. I feel annoyed that I didn't get a refund for at least one of my nights because my experience was simply awful.
The process to check in run smooth. The staff received us very well. Gave us information we need.
The room is clean , shower room as well. But please help your staff bar to treat people well. I got no attention while i asked a hot water. They just left me giggling without any help.
This is my first hostel experience. It was better than expected but there is still room for improvement. The female bathroom facilities need a few repairs, as well as curtains on beds. That's all though.
Very funny hostel!
This was my second stay and I loved it. You can have fun in the bar (there was even live music one night), the staff is really nice and helpful, you can relax on the deck on the canal, or you can chill in your room. The food in the bar was good and breakfast was good but basic, but only 3€ or free if you book on St. Christopher's site directly. If you book 3 nights you get one free.
There's a market near by which is
really convenient but I suggest only buying what you'll eat right away, as there's no fridge (one of the only negatives). I love the curtains on the beds. It gives a great sense of privacy that is sometimes needed
when you're traveling. Plus, the beds are a really good size and long which is great for tall people. I know the staff can't watch everyone, all the time, but 3 times I saw men on the all women's floor. One I think was just lost, one went into the handicap toilet/shower and one was brought into my room (just for a couple seconds) by another guest.
