CITADEL MUSIC FESTIVAL
Throughout June, July and August
The Citadel Music Festival stages a series of rock, pop, rap and electronic music concerts at an amazing open-air location in Berlin-Spandau located in the western outskirts of Berlin. Over a whopping three months you’ll get to see the likes of Bloc Party, Def Leppard, Your Friends and Beirut are just a few of the talented artists that make up the 2019 lineup. It’s set to be big! You can buy tickets to the festival based on which artist you want to see (so prices vary).
MELT FESTIVAL
19th July - 21st July
Melt Festival is back and we can’t wait! Held in Ferropolis, just a short drive out of Berlin, this is a fantastic festival to attend if you're planning a stay in the German capital over summer. Camping, music, fun and booze for 2 days? Sounds like a pretty awesome summer festival to us. Expect big names like Bon Iver, Skepta, A$AP Rocky, Jorja Smith, Bonobo and more to show you a good time. Let yourself drift from stage to stage, taking in the good vibes and making the very best of a festival. Be quick to get tickets as they’re selling out. Not a big camper? Get a cheap bed at our instead.
POP KULTUR
21st - 23rd August
Pop Kultur is an international festival that takes place in Berlin at Kulturbrauerei. It’s more than just a music festival. As well as live music, Pop Kultur also hosts live readings, films, talks, exhibitions and networking events. There will be 80 concerts, DJ sets, talks and more to enjoy - check out the full line-up here . The ultimate festival for those truly interested in music and culture alike (and all ages rock up). The ticket price is 65,20 €.
HELENE BEACH FESTIVAL
25th - 28thh July
Technically not in Berlin, but a short 1 hour 30 min train ride away. If you’re looking for a summer festival on the beach then look no further than Helene Beach Festival. Literally a massive party on the beach, with live DJ’s, artists, booze, bikinis and fun what more could you want from a summer fest? There’s even a beach camp if you’re up for pitching a tent on the sand! Party in the day and night, jump in the sea, make friends and have one of the most unforgettable summers. Tickets cost €108 and they’re selling out pretty fast. And then it’s an extra €20 if you want to camp.
This festival is the perfect pitstop while travelling around Germany, so if you’re going to be in Berlin in July tie this into your summer plans!
BERLIN ATONAL
28th August - 1st September
Berlin Atonal Festival brings together music aficionados all under one roof to enjoy the very best in electronic and techno music. Only those in the know go to Atonal - and now you’re one of them. This techno marathon is located in an abandoned power plant in Berlin Mitte (called Kraftwerk), a huge dark industrial complex that gets lit during Berlin Atonal, with live music, workshops and exhibitions. With the best technology and visual arts to make the experience all the better, expect some crazy good light pyrotechnics. If you love techno, thumping beats and experimental sounds then this is the festival for you.
LOLLAPALOOZA
7th - 8th September
Sure, you may have to wait until September for the legendary Lollapalooza festival but it will be so worth it because this year’s line-up is literally insane. Running for two days (the Saturday and Sunday), there is a killer line-up on each day. Swedish House Mafia and Twenty One Pilots headline on Saturday. Sunday will see the likes of Rita Ora, Kings of Leon, Martin Garrix, Khalid and Hozier. Let's hope the sun is shining down on Berlin in September. Lollapalooza takes place outside at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium and Olympic Park.
