Beer lovers! Discover the best microbreweries, craft-beer spots and beer gardens in the medieval capital
Prague is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful historic capitals in the world. But there’s a hell of a lot more to soak in than the city’s quaint surroundings and medieval architecture. You’ll also be keen to soak up bundles of BEER.
As you may know, Prague’s brewing scene is one of the best in the world competing with the big-guns like Belgium and Germany. Prague has been making its own beer since the 13th century. And it’s truly delicious stuff. Unique from any other beer you’ll taste with its characteristic transparent golden colour, high foaminess and lighter flavour, it will have you craving more and more. It’s no wonder the Czech Republic has the highest beer consumption in the world. Here are 6 of the best places to hit for the beautiful brew...
1 Bad Flash Bar
Krymská 126/2, 101 00 Praha 10, Czechia - 5pm–1am
Need a fun bar to start your night? Then you MUST head to Bad Flash Bar, a recent addition to Prague’s booming craft beer scene. Inside, you’ll find 12 taps that rotate a fine selection of craft beer from Hůřák, Beskydský Pivovárek, and Tambor plus other well-distinguished imports. There’s a pretty young crowd at this joint ranging from locals, hipsters and tourists and it’s usually somewhere club-goers will stop by before or after their night out for some badass brews.
Bad Flash Bar won’t let you down for a good night and it plays some awesome music. Pull up a chair, test some beers and dig into some Czech pub treats, like pickled cheese, pâté, and spreads to line your stomach. Take tram 22 or 4 to Krymská tram stop and Bad Flash Bar is just around the corner.
