If you’re planning a trip to sunny Barcelona, you’ll want to have a rough idea of what to do while you’re there. And where better to get advice from than the locals. Yep, experts out on the field with knowledge of the best places to go and the best things to do (and what not to do). We’ve picked out the most helpful blogs to help you explore the city in the best way…

1 Foodie in Barcelona

The name pretty much gives it away. Foodie in Barcelona is basically a food Bible to the city, pointing out the best eats in each area from the Gothic Quarter to Barceloneta. So whichever part of Barcelona you happen to be exploring, this blog has you covered on where to grab lunch or dinner. Advising on all kinds of cuisine - plus restaurants, cafes, breakfast, snacks, ice-cream and markets - you’re pretty much sorted food-wise with this blog in your armoury.

2 Travels of Adam

For an ultimate city guide to Barcelona, head over to Travels of Adam. This blog provides detailed city guides to many places but we particularly love the Barcelona section. From the best sites to see, the yummiest tapas, museums, shopping, bars and nightlife - even to exploring the Gay district, this page is honestly so helpful for young people travelling to Barcelona for their first, second or even third time! He calls it the ‘Hipster Guide to Barcelona’, so of course, it includes only the coolest joints in the city.

3 Barcelona Street Scraps

The most unique blog in this list. Barcelona Street Scraps captures the best street art in the city from the lens of a camera. Brian, the blog owner, has lived in Barcelona for over 8 years and has a passion for the ever-changing street art. You can count on him to snap a photo of an incredible wall illustration before it gets scraped away, painted over or exposed to harsh elements. Pretty cool and the art is honestly incredible - take a scroll through and see for yourself. He posts very regularly too!

4 Driftwood Journals

From the best coffee shops in the city to Barcelona’s best vintage store, we love Driftwood Journals because Ben’s love for the city really shines through in his articles. That’s what makes this blog stand out. Ben really knows how to write, too (so it doesn’t surprise us that he’s a freelance writer full-time). His guides are diverse: learn how to see Barcelona in one day, or find out 10 reasons why you should take the Wanderbreak Food Tour. His advice is honest, brilliant and will really enhance your trip to the city. A great read.
