At St Christopher’s the answer is the same at all 16: a female-only dorm you can book at every hostel, key card or digital entry to the building and the dorm, secure lockers in every room, and a bar and events under the same roof so the night out never ends with a walk across an unfamiliar city. None of our hostels are women-only, but every one has a female-only dorm, and three have a women-only space behind a dedicated key card: The Oasis at London Bridge – The Village, and a female-only floor at Barcelona and Paris Gare du Nord. You get the women-only room to sleep in and a social hostel around it, with a bar and events downstairs. If you’re looking for a female only hostel in London, The Oasis is the closest thing in the network without giving up the social side.
Yes. A women-only dorm is available at all 16 St Christopher’s hostels across nine cities: London, Edinburgh, Newquay, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Bruges and Vienna. Select the female-only dorm when you book and your room is women only for the length of your stay.
The Oasis is a women-only section of St Christopher’s London Bridge – The Village, reached by a key card that only its guests hold. It contains multiple female-only dorms plus its own bathrooms and showers, with hair dryers, full-length mirrors and fresh linen. It’s the only part of the network where the bathroom and shower are women-only as well as the dorm. Outside it is the rest of the hostel: Belushi’s downstairs and Borough Market two minutes away.
Barcelona and Paris Gare du Nord both keep their female-only dorms on a dedicated key card floor. Barcelona’s is a minute from Las Ramblas, with privacy curtains on every bunk and a Quiet Space Dorm elsewhere in the hostel. Paris Gare du Nord’s is a few minutes from the Eurostar, above a bar that holds around a thousand. London Bridge – The Village has The Oasis, a women-only section rather than a floor, with the same key card access.
Yes. Two of you can take two beds in the same women-only dorm, and a larger group can take the beds it needs in one room. The female-only space works exactly the same whether you arrive alone or together, and the bar downstairs has room for the whole group.
Most bunks at St Christopher’s have a privacy curtain, a reading light and a plug socket, so you can close off your own space inside the dorm. London Bridge – The Village has capsule pods, and Paris and Berlin have pod-style bunks. Curtains aren’t on every bunk at every hostel, so check the room description for the property you’re booking.
Any of the nine works, since a women-only dorm and a bar under the same roof are standard everywhere.
