You’ve arrived!

You step out at London Bridge station, and London hits you all at once: the market traders, the commuters and the river somewhere behind the rooftops. Then you find it: the proper London pub you’re staying in, the one that has been here longer than most cities have had hostels.

A local’s afternoon

The outdoor seating fills up quickly on Borough High Street, locals on their lunch break, guests who arrived this morning, someone who has been here a week and is quietly becoming a local themselves. You sit down for one drink and find yourself still there an hour later, now with a rough plan for the evening and two new people to carry it out with.

A night at the Inn

There is a moment in the evening when the pub shifts gear – the music gets louder, the bar gets busier, and Borough High Street outside goes quiet while in here it does the opposite. The live music is as famous as the pub, and you are lucky enough to be already here.

The morning after

You find the people from last night at breakfast, looking approximately as good as you feel. Someone has already looked up Tate Modern, someone else is pushing for Tower Bridge, and a third opinion involving Camden has entered the conversation. By the time the coffee arrives the day is taking place with no plan whatsoever.

Just getting started

Somewhere between Tate Modern and the walk along the river, the group that met over a pint outside the pub has become the group that is going to spend the rest of the trip together. Tower Bridge, the Sky Garden, a record shop someone spotted in Bermondsey – the city keeps adding to the list faster than you can get through it.

Welcome

Your first 24 hours at The Inn

You arrive to one of the city’s most storied neighbourhoods, drop your bags, sit outside a pub that locals have been drinking in long before it had beds upstairs, meeting people from different countries over a pint, and making plans for a day that will end up nothing like you expected.

On one of London’s oldest streets.

Live music and food sourced from Borough Market.

St Christopher’s Pub sits on the ground floor of the hostel and draws an eclectic crowd of locals and travellers alike. Local craft beers and real ales on tap, a kitchen sourcing directly from the market across the road, and live music running every night of the week make this one of the most popular pubs in London Bridge.

Your questions

Travellers’ frequently asked questions

Our team chats with guests every day and are always on hand to help, so we know what travellers need to understand before they book. These are the questions we get most often from people planning a stay at St Christopher’s Inn London Bridge, so you know what to expect when you arrive.

What kind of food is served at St Christopher’s Inn London Bridge – The Inn?

The kitchen at St Christopher’s Pub, on the ground floor of the hostel, serves a British pub menu sourced from Borough Market, London’s oldest food market, directly across the road. Everything is prepared in house, and the bar pours local craft beers and real ales alongside wines and cocktails. Book direct and you get 25% off food for your whole stay, which makes eating downstairs one of the best value meals in this part of London.

What is the check-in time at St Christopher’s London Bridge – The Inn?

Check-in opens at 3pm and check-out is by 11am. If you arrive earlier, come straight in anyway. You can store your luggage and head out to explore Borough, and if your room is ready before 3pm the team will check you in early at no extra charge. Online pre-check-in is available through your booking confirmation, so the paperwork is done before you walk through the door.

Can I check in late at night?

Yes. Reception is staffed until 1am Sunday to Wednesday. If you’re arriving after midnight, please let us know your expected arrival time in advance so we can make arrangements.

From Thursday to Saturday, we have dedicated night staff on-site, allowing for 24-hour check-in. Whether you’re arriving on a late flight, delayed train, or after a night out, you’ll be able to check in directly at the hostel at any time.

Is there luggage storage at the hostel?

Yes, you can store your bags both before check-in and after check-out, so an early arrival or a late flight never costs you a day in London. Drop your luggage at reception, pick up a coffee, and Borough Market is five minutes away on foot while you wait for your room.

Is breakfast included at The Inn?

Breakfast is purchased separately rather than included in the room rate, which keeps the bed price down for travellers who prefer to eat at Borough Market across the road. For the best price, add breakfast to your booking before you arrive.
