What separates the bar here from most of central Copenhagen is the price of a round and the mix of people paying for it. Regulars from the neighbourhood drink alongside guests from more than forty countries a month, so the room has its own momentum before anyone organises anything. Live music, beer pong and cocktail nights run weekly, and the Downunder venue below takes over when the ground floor winds down.

Copenhagen Downtown runs to its own policies and a few differ from the St Christopher’s properties, starting with a 10am check out. The answers below cover what changes before you book.
Check in opens at 3pm and check out is by 10am, so plan the last morning around it. Reception is staffed around the clock, so arrivals at any hour are fine, and the luggage room holds bags before check in and after check out for a small fee.
Twenty five rooms have a shower and toilet inside. The other fifty use bathrooms in the hallway. Every bed comes with linen, key card access, a personal reading light, a hand basin and a mirror, with free hairdryer hire at reception. Filter for a private bathroom at the booking stage if it matters to you.
A DreamBoks is an enclosed sleep capsule with a door that locks, sitting between a dorm bed and a private room. Copenhagen Downtown has single capsules and double capsules for two people, on upper and lower levels. Nobody under 18 can book a capsule or a dorm bed, only a private room with an adult guardian.
Guests from more than forty countries stay each month by the property’s own count, and a free walking tour leaves from the lounge twice a day, which handles the introductions. A solo travellers night runs weekly alongside beer pong and cocktail nights. The lounge, pool table and table football sit in one space rather than spread across floors.
Trains run from Copenhagen Airport to Copenhagen Central Station, and Vandkunsten 5 is a ten minute walk from there. City Hall Square is five minutes away on foot and Strøget starts 500 metres from the door. Reception never closes, so a late landing is not a problem.
