It doesn’t matter where you are, if there’s a big game on TV, you’ll need somewhere to watch it. The city might be small, but there are some really great spots where you can watch live sports in Bruges, whether it’s British rugby, American football or a World Cup, you can count on these places to be buzzing. You’re in one of the beer capitals of Europe, so what better excuse to watch sport than when there’s a huge selection of local beers behind the bar? Get the local experience AND catch a game you don’t want to miss at the best sports bars in Bruges.

Looking for somewhere to stay in Bruges?

The Bauhaus

Live sports, a load of Belgian beer and a buzzing local atmosphere, the Bauhaus is our top spot to watch live sport in Bruges while also being one of the best beer bars in Bruges. This authentic Belgian beer and sports bar is nestled in the heart of Bruges’ medieval Old Town, just a stone’s throw away from the city’s main tourist sites so you get a great mix of locals and international sports lovers congregating for all the big games with a good beer. Whatever kind of sport it is that you want to watch, the Bauhaus shows an awesome range of international sports live on HD screens throughout the bar. Set yourself up for a big game and make the most of their enormous beer menu (they serve over 50!) and the best Happy Hour in Bruges at the Bauhaus. Plus, you could even get a bed to roll into after a late game, as there’s a hostel right upstairs!

Taphouse De Zandloper

On the southern end of Bruges, Taphouse de Zandloper is another great spot to catch some live sport while indulging in a few local Belgian brews. There are only a couple of TVs, but this is totally made up for by the fact they have 18 great beers on tap to enjoy while you chill out and watch some live sport. Dragging someone along to watch a game with you when the sun’s out? There’s some good, cosy tables and seating outside to enjoy a cold one, too!

Le Trappiste

They don’t shout about it, but if you turn a corner you might find one TV screen showing sports - mainly football - live at Le Trappiste. This quirky bar is smack bang in the city centre, hidden away in a 13th century underground crypt that glows in candlelight while serving a huge variety of local beers on tap AND sneakily showing live sport! The interiors at Le Trappiste are like nowhere else in Bruges and well worth checking out even just for one of their specially brewed Belgian Triple house beers, Abbott.

Cafe Pick

Tucked at the end of a narrow cobbled alleyway leading from Markt Square and the Belfry Tower, Cafe Pick has a few TVs showing live sports throughout the week. Sit outside during the summer or inside if the weather’s worse for wear, and make the most of the bar’s great beer and cocktail range as you watch some big football matches on their HD screens.
