1. Ma Petite Jamaica

We recommend the fresh tagliatelle at The Cheese Wheel, the Halloumi Fries at Oli Baba, the tacos at Tacoma and katsu curry in a bun at The Katsu House. For £13.95 you can try the famous Fish and Chips here and see what the hype is all about. While other fish and chip shops are generally cheaper, this is up there with one of the best places to try the British food staple in the city. Located on Camden High Street, Belushi’s is a rock n’ roll burger bar that stays open till late so you can enjoy fat burgers, Jack Daniels BBQ wings, cocktails and other tasty bar snacks to a rockin’ playlist. We recommend the Butter Cluckin’ Stack chicken burger, a brand new addition to the menu involving buttermilk fried chicken, cheddar cheese and streaky bacon served in a brioche bun. Belushi’s shows all the latest live sports, hosts parties most nights of the week and you can play epic beer pong tournaments.

5. Namaaste Kitchen

For Indian curries

If Indian food is your favourite cuisine, then you’re in the right place to come for a more celebratory dinner. Namaaste Kitchen is an award-winning Indian restaurant in London that won’t break the bank. Situated in a pleasant spot between Camden and Primrose Hill, Namaaste Kitchen serves up high quality, critically acclaimed Indian dishes that will put a smile on your face and give you a real taste of India. We recommend the succulent baby pork chops to start (that are flavoured to perfection in exotic spices) and the spicy Oxtail Rogan Josh curry. If you can’t handle the heat, then opt for the melt-in-the-mouth Butter Chicken (£12.95). This place was even the winner of the Asian Curry Award.

Serving up tasty Italian vegan pizzas, this is actually the UK’s first ever vegan pizzeria, loved by locals who come for their dairy-free, meat-free pizza fix. The menu has a large variety of different sourdough pizzas, as well as courgetti spaghetti and vegan mac n’ cheese. Purezza recreates popular Italian pizza toppings like mozzarella, sausage and cheddar to make vegan-friendly alternatives that taste delicious!

For some of the tastiest and most affordable Asian food in Camden, Bintang is our top pick. All dishes on the menu have been inspired from the foodie destinations of Asia such as Malaysia, China, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, bringing a fusion of spices and flavours to Kentish Town Road. Pad Thai, Katsu curry, spring rolls, chicken satay… The classics on the menu are to die for, but for something a little different the signature Bintang curry is a great option – order it with the garlic rice on the side and you’ll be in heaven!

You’ll find delicious, authentic Italian food in every London neighbourhood, but the go-to for Camden’s locals is without a doubt this one, just off the high street on Pratt Street. The friendly service, cosy interior and, of course, unbelievable food make it an ideal option when you’re stumped for somewhere to feast in Camden.
