1) Berghain

Berghain is Berlin's most famous club as well as its most exclusive. Getting in here will take dedication. Experts say the best tips for entry are to wear dark clothes, know what's on that night, and avoid taking selfies. If you manage to get in, you'll experience an absolutely electric and eclectic night. It's even been described as entering a different world. What goes on inside? You'll have to get in to find out. Once you're in, there's no sharing the moment on social media because Berghain has a strict no phone policy. Go to Berghain and you'll hear music and see characters you might never have imagined.

2) Sisyphos

Ready to party from sun up to sun down, then back to sun up again? Lucky for you, Sisyphos is a nonstop party from Friday to Monday, and you only have to pay an entry fee once! Located in eastern Berlin, Sisyphos is a hub for techno and house music. This club brings in names like Mikah, Mike Book, Daniel Jaeger, and Thomas Shumacher. Like Berghain, they also have a no photo policy so you can get off your phone and get in the moment.

3) Club der Visionaere

If you're looking for more of a laid back feel, Club der Visionaere is the place. This summer only club has more of a bar feel due to its friendly bouncers and atmosphere. Located in Treptower park, it has amazing scenery and unmatched techno music. Hang out on the terrace, dance with friends for a good start (or end) to your night.

4) Watergate

If you're a big fan of house and techno music, Watergate is just the place. Watergate was a big part of the rise of house and techno music in London in the early 2000s. This club has a more modern feel and is a common spot for tourists on the weekends. If you're looking for less of a touristy feel, weekdays are the days for you. There are 2 floors, one of which is the Water floor with a dance floor that overlooks the river spree. Partying at Watergate is an experience with a view.

5) Ritter Butzke

Ritter Butzke is now official! What started as an illegal club is now fully open and advertised. With four dance floors and an outdoor courtyard, there's more than enough room to party. This venue brings in big names like TAKT and Jan Oberlaender, so you won't want to miss out on the fun. It's been called the opposite of Berghain, because of its friendly bouncers and transparency with "what's inside."

6) Anomalie Art Club

Anomalie Art club is your next rave destination. Located in Prenzlauer Berg, this art centre/club provides trippy visuals and colours to mesmerise your mind while you lose yourself in the music. It sits in an old car repair shop, giving it a revamped vibe. With two techno/house dance floors and even a beer garden, you’ll be raving until the sun comes up, or even later.

7) KitKat

If you're looking for something more X-rated, KitKat might be the place. One of Berlin's most iconic and well-known clubs, KitKat lets you be whoever you want to be. Like many clubs in Berlin, don't be surprised if you see some nudity. Embrace the eclectic nature that is Berlin nightlife. Party like a local at their events like CarneBall Bizarre or Electric Monday, which has the most relaxed dress code.

8) Salon zur Wilden Renate

Dance club meets Alice in Wonderland. Salon zur Wilden Renate is an upbeat club with multiple rooms and a magical garden. Pick your vibe between the three clubbing floors: house, techno and disco, or escape to the garden getaway. With secret rooms and spaces scattered throughout the venue, and even a labyrinth, you'll get lost in the space and the music at the same time. This party lasts all weekend so don't miss out.
