Sushi. You either love it or you hate it. Here at St Christopher’s, we’re partial to some fresh Japanese food - so thought we’d write an article about all the best sushi spots in the city. Sashimi, California rolls, slippery salmon and rice wrapped in seaweed. Our tastebuds get all tingly just thinking about it. Delicate parcels topped with a fiery wasabi kick, a generous dash of soy sauce - and let’s not forget the finishing touch - a tiny strand of ginger. So satisfying. These are our top affordable spots to get your fishy fix:

MIYAKO

Liverpool Street

Just around the corner from our , you’ll find the best sushi spot in Liverpool Street. Hidden away in the Andaz Hotel, Miyako is a smart spot in the banker’s district serving seriously tasty sushi, sashimi and teriyaki. The contemporary interior equipped with dark wooden tables is a relaxing place to dine, away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool Street.

Head chef Kosei Sakamoto takes pride in each of his dishes, presenting them beautifully so it will feel like a real treat eating here - not just because it’s inside a 5 star hotel. Miyako is probably the priciest joint in this list (but still pretty decent compared to the other overly priced sushi spots in the area like Sushi Samba). If you're sharing it works out pretty affordable - and isn’t sharing what sushi’s all about?

Freshly prepared with all ingredients sourced locally, Yoobi is definitely one to try! It has a fun, quirky interior with bold pops of colour and a hip, young vibe.

BENTO RAMEN
