Whether you’re looking for a trendy cocktail bar in the West End, a rooftop bar with views of the city or some of London’s best parties, we’ve got you covered with our round up of the Best Bars in London that are all affordable offering some crazy good Happy Hours. From Soho to Shoreditch, West London to East you know you can find a good deal at each of these bars…
If you love music and dancing, then Piano Works in Farringdon never lets us down for a fun night out in the city. The Piano Works is quirky in that all of the music you hear is played by an epic live band where the playlist is determined by the customer’s song requests. The band is so incredible and can go from putting their own spin on a Spice Girls classic to making Drake’s newest hit a dance number. This is the place to really let loose and have a great time. The dance floor is always full and the drinks are affordable. The prime time to visit is during Cocktail Hour 5-7pm where selected cocktails are £5.
It’s not all about the weekends in London. On Thursday night, head to The Little Blue Door where you can get £5 Gin and Tonics and Beers from 6pm all the way until 9:30pm. This quirky bar in Fulham is essentially a house party where the whole theme of the bar is a literally a ‘home’. Wander the different rooms, there’s a living room with some board games – and even a dining room.
This lively sports bar has several locations around London and it’s a popular student / sports fan and backpacker hangout. Belushi’s is most famous for its epic parties that go on until LATE. But the best part is the Happy Hour that starts pretty early! Every Monday to Friday, from 5pm – 7.30pm, you can get some kickass deals at Belushi’s during the Happy Hour: 2 for 1 Classic Cocktails, 2 for 1 Gin & Tonics, 2 for 1 Corona Bottles and even £15 Bottle of Prosecco. Sounds like a good night to us. You can find Belushi’s Bars in Camden, Shepherd’s Bush, Hammersmith, Greenwich and London Bridge.
Tonight Josephine is sassy cocktail bar in Waterloo that has become ‘the’ new place to go in London for drinks with your friends. The theme is pink, you only have to take a look at the brands eye-popping Instagram page to picture the chic vibe in the bar. Shaking up classic cocktails as well as Tonight Josephine's own mixes, the Happy Hour covers every cocktail on the menu. Plus, extra deals such as Peroni Rossa & glasses of prosecco. The Happy Hour takes place 5-7pm every day of the week. If you sign up to the newsletter, you can even get a free drink!
For those of you who want to test out a good rooftop bar in London, get yourself to Bar Elba in Waterloo. Head to the roof for a really chilled out drinking vibe where you can sit on wooden benches under a cover (to protect you from the rain) while enjoying amazing views of the city’s skyscrapers. The Happy Hour is every Monday – Thursday from 5pm-6pm and on Friday from 9pm – 11pm. You can even benefit from Happy Hour on Sunday from 12pm – 1pm. Enjoy two for one on all cocktails, then scope out the street food stalls for something hearty to soak up all the alcohol.
A really fun latina bar in Soho, Barrio is a oldie but a goodie. This beach bar-style venue is located in a basement beneath the bustling Soho where a real fiesta takes place. Happy Hour is until 8pm daily & all day Sunday – Monday. A real tropical vibe, the rum and tequila cocktails is what Barrio is known for. With a food menu inspired by Latin America: think nachos, tacos and delicious quesadillas. Head down on a Friday for live Latin music and a real dance party.
London Cocktail Club has locations in Oxford Circus, Shoreditch, Covent Garden and more. It’s a real rockin’ bar with a playlist to match. You can get 2 drinks for £12, pretty good considering you’re in London where in some joints, one cocktail can cost that much. The Oxford Circus bar is our favourite; head down the dark staircase underground and rock out to some classics. Happy Hour is on Tuesday – Saturday starts at 4.30pm and ends at 7pm.
Does anything sound better than pizza and Happy Hour? At Old Street Records in Shoreditch, you can have both. Spread over two floors, enjoy live music while sipping on your 2 for 1 cocktails from 5pm – 8pm. This joint is perfect if you wanna stay at one place all night: with pizza, drinks and a party what more could you want?
